Hello everyone. Hope you all are gearing up for a great summer. We are stoked about the summer we have coming up as a band because we will begin recording our new album!! There is such an excitement in the air about this project within the band. As I have mentioned before, we have had the incredible opportunity to write with some amazing songwriters and are quickly building up a list of incredible material that is going to be hard to narrow down to just 10 songs, but we can do it! One of those writers is new INO Records artist, Jonny Diaz. We have admired Jonny’s music from a far for a while and just recently were able to link up with him and write. I think we have a great song and will probably write with him again for this album. You never know, we may get an even better song next time. It seems that writing has been the “thing to do” for us lately….that and demoing. But it is all going really well. A few weeks ago, Robby and I made the trip to Nashville for a writing session with Adam Smith. Adam has written a few well known songs and most recently had his first #1 with “Still My God”, recorded by Avalon. The song is now at #2. We had a great time with Adam and he helped us re-write a song we had been working on. I think the song is going to be called “All for You My King.”
We will be writing even more in the next few months and start recording in July. We are very excited about the new material we have and are working on as well as writing with other writers. These writers are so gifted and it’s just amazing to watch them create and make you better at being creative.
We were back out on the road this past weekend in Athens, GA…look for an update from that and a few other dates soon.

As I am typing this blog, we are literally in the process of demoing a new song. The words of the chorus are simple. They are “Praise to Your Name, Praise to Your Name! Here our sound, God, the sound of the redeemed!” This song is simply about how we humble ourselves when we go to the throne of God in worship. We are so unworthy to come to the Father without humbling ourselves because we are all sinners and a constant sinning people.
Currently, I am studying through the book of Genesis about the creation, the fall of man, and the flood. One great truth that comes from the event of the flood is that when God flooded the earth, He ridded the world (at that time) of sinful men, but he did not rid the world of man’s sinful nature. It is because of that sinful nature that we all must declare ourselves unworthy to go to the father directly. But, God made a way for us to get to Him. He sent His only son, Jesus Christ, to earth to die for all the sins that anyone and everyone has and will ever commit. But Christ didn’t stay dead, He rose again and went to be with the Father and is now has become our way to get to the Father. It is only through the blood of Jesus Christ that anyone can get to the Father, God. It is through Christ’s blood that anyone can be redeemed and have this fellowship with Him. Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father but through me.” It is because of Christ’s sacrifice that we are singing and praising His Name.
